Media Ministry

Media, Sound, and Social Media

A big part of what makes the church services go is the behind-the-scenes work of the people operating the technology. We have lots of different areas in the media department. However, it’s not just about the technology. We are a medium through which the gospel can be spread more easily and accessibly to everyone both in-person and online. The media department also acts as the online front door of the church in operating our Facebook page and website.

For in-person services, someone has to operate the computer connected to the projectors and the sound system. This entails using Easy Worship to operate the projector and being the DJ for prayer and in between services.

Behind many of these functions in the media ministry is the creativity behind it, especially in the media and images being used in all of it. We have access to Canva where we create and update lots of our media that is used for both in-person services, the Livestream, and on Social Media.

Since COVID-19 impacted how we do church, we have continued to stream our services online through Facebook, YouTube, and our website using a video mixing software. This also requires connecting and operating the camera to the computer. This has become vital to putting the Good News out on social media.

The soundboard is also a very important part of functioning church services. Thankfully, from an anonymous donor, we recently upgraded the whole system to a new Behringer X32 Compact.

Keeping up with social media beyond our Livestream is important as well. We always keep striving to increase our online presence and the quality of content we are posting. It is a great way to build an online Christian community and fellowship. So far, we have an active presence of Facebook and YouTube.
