Events Ministry

Events are more than just a fun party for our church, but they are way for us to reach our community and come closer together. It is a very biblical concept to find joy in Christian fellowship. We also want to fulfill our mission and God’s mission for us to share the Gospel and reach others. These events give us a connection into the community and an opportunity to open our Christian family and fellowship to others and share His Gospel with them.

3 We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.
— 1 John 1:3-4 (NLT)

Our annual and monthly events.

  • Monthly Family Night

Every month on the third or fourth Saturday of every month, we host a family night event to connect with each other and the community. Every month is a different theme where the church provides a main dish, but everyone else brings something to share in a potluck. During the summer months, we host it outside in our parking lot. During the winter months, we host it inside our sanctuary.

  • Annual Easter Egg Hunt/Carnival

Every year we host an Easter Egg Hunt/Carnival geared toward kids. It is one of two events where we specifically reach out to the surrounding community for their kids. We host it the Saturday before Easter where we have fun Easter festivities and serve a small meal.

  • Annual Fourth of July Picnic

Every year, we choose a Sunday near the Fourth of July to have church in the park followed by a picnic. We rent a pavilion at Marshall Park in Ontario, Ohio, where we have singing and a message from the pastor followed by food that is partially a potluck and a cornhole tournament.

  • Annual Harvest Party

Every year on the Saturday before Halloween, we provide a safe alternative with the Harvest Party that focuses on Trunk or Treat. It is the second of two events that focuses specifically on kids and community outreach. We also have a small meal served, along with some games, pumpkin painting, and a bonfire.

  • Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

Every year, we get together the weekend before Thanksgiving for a fun Thanksgiving potluck. The church provides the turkey, and everyone else provides the side dishes and desserts. We have a lot of fun sitting together down long family-style tables and eating good food. For some, this is the only Thanksgiving they have.

  • Annual Christmas Banquet

As a thank you to the church members, we outsource a Christmas banquet. We have it at a separate location where food is prepared by someone else so no one has to work! Everyone is there is celebrate the reason for the season with each other. For some, this is their main Christmas celebration too.
